After a relaxed breakfast and showing off Groovy to few more.

Time to get those new bras flying, thanks BCNA and Twin Waters Resort, it's been fabulous, now time to head down the highway for a night, arrive at lunchtime in Sunshine by 7pm it's pouring! Can't hear the TV even on maximum volume then time for an unscheduled mopping of the bus, I had secured one of the air vents!

Feeling for all in tents would not have been a pleasant night!

Thursday March 16th & Friday 17th - Twin Waters Resort

BCNA National Summit.

Two fabulous days with 198 women and 2 men learning, supporting meeting up with friends and making new friends! Getting all the latest information and statistics.

The latest statistics from the Australian Institute of Health and Wealth predict that 17,730 ( 17,568 women and 144 men ) will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year!  While the numbers diagnosed are increasing every year, survival rates are also increasing.

Nevertheless, more than 3,000 people will lose their lives to breast  cancer every year in Australia.

Early detection and Breast awareness is so important.

A very rewarding and empowering 2 days.

Now taking Groovy reminded me of taking my beautiful daughter on a holiday, you know when you are lying by a pool and everyones looking your way , and the drinks waiter starts heading over you feel pretty good then they bypass you and go straight to the daughter, yep Groovy gets all the attention everyone wanting photos of her!

On Friday i had the pleasure of being a Panel member speaking about my fundraising idea which BCNA has now  made a national fundraising program - Dine Pink.

Wednesday March 15th

Last night it rained, then it poured, while I was trying to snore! Thoughts of Groovy might needing to be a boat not Bus going on in my head, then I didn't want to get out of bed in the morning!

So after blowing fuses yesterday had to get Nigel from Mobile RV out to help! Nigel and Blake were happy to pull on a Bra to show their support!

Called around to see fellow Dubbo resident Peter Brooks at his shop the smashed crab he was out, but had a lovely chat to Emma. Next stop Novotel Twin Waters   to attend the BCNA summit. Pulled and greeted by Paul who got Groovy the prime parking place undercover for 3 nights!

Check in time to catch up with pink friends and start meeting and making new friends. Due to stormy weather "Mini Field of Women" and welcome which included a special traditional smoking ceremony, an ancient custom for indigenous Australians were held at reception!

Tuesday March 14th

Do a bit of housework while waiting for a guy to come and sort out my fuses!! 9pm still waiting don't think he is coming tonight so now just listening to the rain and can only get SBS on TV! Tomorrow is a new day!
